Bio

Marko Štajcer graduated from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics, Information Systems, 2008. After graduation, he has joined Poslovna inteligencija consulting team and since then has built his carreer on different and challenging projects and technologies strongly connecting wide knowledge of data management, data warehouse systems and big data analytics with detailed knowledge of telecommunications and finance industry. Since 2008, Mr Štajcer has participated in numerous national and international data management projects as solution designer, technical lead and project manager. In 2015, he is promoted in Innovation & Development Director. On this position, Mr. Štajcer challenges new frontiers in Big Data field and is involved in innovative projects in Poslovna inteligencija, such as Big Data analytics and architecture design and development of Poslovna inteligencija Big Data solutions. Since 2019. he is Lecturer on Data Preparation course at Algebra University College.

In order for these to evolve, new structures and technologies are needed. Overall a new approach is what is more important, by having customer´s needs as priority.

In recent years, in the era of Big Data, Data Warehouse architectures (EDW - Enterprise Data Warehouse) evolve towards Logical Data Warehouses (LDW), which are becoming the new standard architecture for data management and data analytics. In these architectures Hadoop is used for evaluation and processing of new data sources, which can then be loaded into the Data Warehouse or combined with the data that is already there. IBM Fluid Query technology allows access to data from various sources such as Hadoop or Spark and combines them with data located in the Data Warehouse on IBM PDA device.
