The key objective of this service is to assure that the standards, methodology, processes and procedures of a future application project are correctly defined and established at the very beginning of the project, that they are appropriately implemented and integrated during the project, and that the final application product satisfies not only customer expectations and requirements, but also valid IT standards in the development of application projects.

The presentation will give the general SQA views and concrete examples of SQA services in the software testing phase (delivery, risks, requirements).

DB2 version 10 contains several new features which you can benefit from, such as Inline LOBs, including columns in an existing unique index, performance gains on Native SQL Procedures ... In this presentation, you will learn more about these features, and how to implement or configure them appropriately for better performance. The presentation contains 4 chapters, each of which is concluded by a tip that you can implement (almost) right-away:
Save CPU by including extra columns to an unique index

A unified standard and the introduction of a single tool is the key to easier and more manageable way to work with a complex IT systems. This was exactly the case in the IT of NLB at the field of data modeling: we have written and implemented unified data modeling methodology and selected CA Erwin DataModeler as a single tool for modeling. This allowed us to build a common data model from which we can see the data interdependencies between systems, the impact of changes in the data model.

More about the challenges in selecting a single tool, writing and setting methodology will be explained at the presentation.

We are all witnessing boundaries between OLTP and OLAP applications more and more blurring. Many of today enterprise level applications share the same challenge: manage vast amounts of data, maintain high performance results and keep historical data only a click away. We bring a production proven, homemade recipe how to get there with DB2 built-in features - archiving your data and still keeping it accessible in real-time.
